How to determine the quality of dissecting forceps
Hold the forceps as for surgery, close the tip slowly and control the distal part should close prior to the center of the jaws. The spring action is resistant but not hard (we can soften it for you) and the two jaws must perfectly face each other.

What is the basic care
Insure that the serrations are sharp enough and that the teeth mesh perfectly. If not, the forceps require repair and/or refurbishing.
